Alright I got a question when you want to make a piece TC and Non TC i understand, But how do you get it in the exact location on the other .tga like you wanna put something into the eye/trim2 .tga how do i put it in the same spot if i grab it say from the default .tga ? Is there an easy way or do you just have to be careful?

When editing layers i always mask and select/cut the areas i want, if your doing it some other way then i'm no help but here's what i do.

When you mask then cut the selected area your after from the default layer it should still be left in the correct spot on the layer, select and copy that layer to which ever colour layer you want it to appear on and it should be in the correct location already. Assuming that you didn't rotate the image for some reason. This can be checked by copying the default layer to the colour layer and making it transparent so you can check it's located correctly.

I hope this helps, i'm not very good at explanations.

The other way that I do is select the area I want to copy, then select a block of whatever happens to be in one of the corners. Make sure that "snap to edges" is enabled (for ease of positioning) and then once the corner section snaps to the corner on the new layer then you know it's positioned correctly. Delete the positioning block to leave just the bit you actually wanted to copy and the job's a good 'un :)

I really need to get a copy of the PS6 manual, my mate just gave me the disc as he's lost any paperwork that came with it. I never heard of 'snap to edges' before.

I'll have to find out what it is tonight, but it's something like that. There's a "Snap" option in one of the right-most menus, and it has "Grid" and something that does edges :)

But that's another topic - we're getting well off the original topic here :D Time to split it out, me thinks.
