Suggestions for new skins (16 skins to do)

And sorry if you didn't get an email about my post to this topic - my host has just spent the last nine hours giving me a bit of a run around while they failed to solve an issue with emails not sending anywhere outside my server :\ they've fixed it now, but partly only because I Googled the error message I was getting in bounced emails and found a possible problem! I dread to think what they'd have been like if I hadn't been a techy with some Linux knowledge :S At least it's fixed now, and the management know about it and the Billing department have been contacted about a refund for this month, since they do a guarantee that sites will be "operational", and my g/fs relies on emails automatically being sent out and so certainly wasn't.

Having just finished two more checkered Ork textures, I've received another (very simple) request from someone at Relic Forums - use Eye colour/Trim 2 on the goggle and bionic eye of the Wartrakk, Burna Boyz and Big Mek.

Yeah, still taking requests, but still not promising my artistic talents are up to it anything like "I want the Force Commander to look more like [insert celebrity] is out the window with me! Colour scheme changes are fine though and my list isn't too long yet.

Ok, time for happy dancing!

Here are the color schemes for the two armies. The Chapter icon for the Vigilant that I have on this page is very very very basic. It's essentially a sword with a wing attached at the tip (rather than the hilt like the Dark Angels).

They don't look too bad - the hardest part with Marine textures is working out which is the best colour layer to assign things too!

I have plans to make a Chaos army lead by one of The Fallen.

As they would take a great deal of pleasure in fighting loyal Space Marines, especially Dark Angels (we know your dirty little secret)
Would it be possible to have some Chaos marines with bastardized Dark Angels and Imperial icons on the armour and maybe a slogan or two on the larger areas of plating, possibly on the greaves?

I was going to make their primary colour black, the old Dark Angels legion colour, so any small icons or text hopefully wont get lost amongst bright colours. And a fixed burnished gold for trim 1 would be cool.

By the by, great work with the checkered WaaaghGrim Orks, my win ratio with Orkz has gone through the roof since i installed them. They must be blessed by Gork and Mork themselves.

LOL! Although apparently some people are having problems with the Warboss texture of the new Grimjaw Orks - the Stikk Bombz are plain grey with no colouring on them at all :\ it's definately not like that in the 1.3 army painter, but I've got to check in-game yet.

As for Chaos Marines using Space Marine textures, it might be possible to work it, but it'd need investigation as to where the Chaos model isn't compatible - unless you're making a Mod that uses the Space Marine models in a Chaos army.

Knees and shoulders would be a problem. The wrist area as well is a differnt style, theres also the little problem of the horns. If you ar planning on hex editing the normal guys into chaos you will be good.

Ahhh....I hadn't thought of the difference between Chaos and normal marine models being a problem...oh well back to the drawing board.

I just checked a replay of the Grimjaw skins and yes the stikk bombs don't have any colour they are just basic grey, if you haven't had a chance to check yet here is a scrennie so you can see the prob.
