The word's explanatory :)

I don't think it is quite as simple as "if the reflection is brighter then it's brighter", because if your specularity layer only lets 10% of it show through then it'll appear darker (or at least less obvious, which may visually be the same thing) than an identical reflection with a 50% specularity layer.

Similarly with team colouring - just because you have a pixel that's 50% grey doesn't mean it is brighter than 25% grey, because it might be over 25% dirt with a black background instead of 100% dirt :)

wow ok, thats definately food for thought!

stfas, thankyou for having a go at the maps.
no rush on these, was just a wondering if it would look ok.

im still playing around with fx at the mo too (am atempting to re-do some of the more annoying ork ones, i mean who ever heard of orange zzap guns!?!?)

Hopefully it's manageable food for thought! If anyone ever comes up with any better ways to explain things (like how Sandwichwarrior wrote the "for dummies" guide after he first learned to make skins) then just give me a shout. We're open to suggestions and contributions or more than just files :)

yeah, well if i get on those .rsh files, so yes. (already done penitent engine, just gotta ask Radylukan for permission to release them as i don't got soulstorm.)

Do I take it you've got permission from Radylukan, since you've submitted it? Your credits say it's based on his texture, but they don't say you got permission :)
