I don't know how many other people are in the UK, but those who are will know what it was like in the Herefordshire area on Friday.
Me and my fiancee were going up to Manchester to sort out some wedding stuff, so we'd planned to set off at 4ish to beat some of the traffic. Because my fiancee's work was going to close at 3:30 because of the snow and because I'd taken the afternoon off, I set off at 3pm. By 4pm I'd managed to make it the two to three miles across Hereford! We then spent another three quarters of an hour sat on a hill between Hereford and Leominster!
Seven hours ( ) after first setting off, we finally made it to Manchester, where it was mainly just light rain!
Coming back it took us about 3 hours 15 including about 15-20 minutes of break!
Maybe Friday night wasn't the best time to travel out of Herefordshire, even if we did have things booked for Saturday and if the Friday night/Saturday morning sounded worse
