I like my cooking, it's always good to throw something together and see what it tastes like (generally starting with mince and a tin of tomatos and adding from there ) but recipes are awkward.
I've got some nice Rogan Josh and something else curry powder mixes, so I looked in the big cookbook I have for a recipe to find out how much curry powder I needed (I never remember!). But what do all of the recipes do? Basically make their own curry powder by telling you amounts of cumin, corriander, chilli powder etc. All well and good for a custom flavour, but I just want one with curry powder
Oh well, my little student cookbook came to the rescue, but I still think they should do more of these recipe books with little "or replace ... with this type of powder mix/combination"
