There was really no need for that, just do a summary, or

Audioscrobbler

old rock, new rock, punk, retro 60's/70's, chillout, ambient, slow breaks, a bit of decent dance/electronica: chemical brothers, massive attack, prodigy

There's normally a difference between what I let it play and what I actually bother rating, though.

But recent tracks of Zepplin followed by Prodigy? Seems like a bit of a change :D

I was playing some zep cos the lads had had it on downstairs, but then it randomed onto prodigy so I let it play a few tracks of experience. Might play some more prodigy now actually, Prodigy Experience is an awsome album.

BTW, watched 65 days of static at the union on thursday, prog-ish instrumental rock metal kinda thing. They've got a player with a few tracks on their website

Ah, a band, not actually sitting there for over two months with a badly tuned TV ;)

As for their site, no they don't :D

Ooops! Not good for them half way through a month.

One album I've seen today that I like to look of (even though I'm too young for half of their music, I think) was the New Order album called Singles (or something like that). Strange the amount of those that I know and like!

in the last fifteen minutes, it's flung Placebo, Liz Phair, Ministry and Apoptygma Beserk at me, and just now, ironically enough, 65DaysOfStatic. Who, I'd have to say, I'm not all that keen on. In the recently played section, it gives me
:wumpscut:, AFI, Alice Cooper, Alice in Chains, Apoptygma Beserk, Beck, Bill Bailey, Billy Corgan, Bluetone, Bowling for Soup, Brand New, Bush, Butthole Surfers, Saint-Saens, Bowie, Damage Manual, Die Warzau, Dishwalla, Disturbed, The Donnas, Eels, FNM, Fear Factory, Feeder, Frank Zappa, Flanders & Swann, Funeral for a Friend, Foo Fighters, Franz Ferdinand, G//Z/R, Garbage, Gary Numan, Godhead, Green Jelly, Guns n Roses, Hanzel und Gretyl, HIM, Jethro Tull, Jimmy eat World, Joy Division, Killswitch Engage, KMFDM, Laibach, Leonard Cohen, Linkin Park, Liz Phair, Machine head, Madness, Marilyn Manson, Live, Mark Lannegan, Ministry, <Monster Magnet, Mussorgsky, NIN, Offspring, OK Go!, Orgy, Paradise lost, Pearl Jam, Pigface, placebo, the Police, PM5K. Presidents, R.E.M, Radio 4, RATM, Rammstein, RHCP, Rob Zombie, Serafin, Sisters of Mercy, Skunk Anansie, Smashing Pumpkins, Snake River Conspiracy, Soundgarden, Stabbing Westward, STP, SOAD, Terrovision, Therapy?, Tomahawk, Type O, Truly, Velvet Revolver, VAST, Within Temptation and Zwan....

 (we need more of a 'blink' smilie)

I don't recognise half of that. Although a strange range of AFI and Bowling for Soup to old Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Orgy and Rammstein to Franz Ferdinand and Gary Numan :D Seems like quite a few people have a fairly eclectic mix if they like rock/metal.

Yeah, that ranges from Classical (Saint-Saens and Mussorgsky: of Danse Macabre & Night on Bare/Bald Mountain [depending on your translation] fame). I think that the whole rock/indie/metal fans have an eclectic taste tends to come from the desire to listen to music, rather than the desire to listen to a type of music, which covers most people. Even a lot of rock fans tend to genrerise themselves, and the average person buys whatever the high street tells them too....rock fans tend to be the sons & daughters of rock fans (though not always), and this tends to instil a broad range of music from an early age, since there
are few genres which have 'diversified' as much as rock - prog, punk, alt, indie, classic, industrial, speed, thrash, death, black, white. Rock also tends to fuse itself to other genres, hence industrial, and its sub-types which are basically dance-music for metal fans, but also RATM, RHCP, Shelter, Prodigy, the faint, et al.
