I'm looking at improving the thumbnails on the site so that they give me a wider choice of skin (and don't restrict me to black background!).
The best I can come up with is on http://hiveworldterra.ibboard.co.uk/Grimjaw.html - Grimjaw is the old style, the Grot is the new style. As you can see, it isn't perfect on white, but I think its acceptable. Anti-aliasing is great, until you change colour! And alpha channel PNGs would be great, only they're about 6-8 times as large and aren't correctly supported in... you guessed it, IE!
