Welcome to the forums, and sorry for the problems signing up :) It looks like I was a little over-zealous and deleted the textbox while updating the template :D

It's not an entirely 'umie forum here - I've got a reasonable Ork army but I've not gamed in ages (living in Herefordshire and now Worcestershire without any easily accessible stores for the last few years doesn't help!) I'm not quite sure what armies other people have.

I hope you enjoy your stay, and I look forward to seeing your stories.

Hahaha, It's nothing. Although you owe me now :D

Great to see you've got an ork army as well, though I can't see any pictures on the link you gave me. (Pretty 'sure it's a shiny lookin' army)

Anyway, can I post pictures of my ork army on this forum?

Yeah, the forums are here for things like posting your armies. You'll need some image hosting (e.g. ImageShack) and I'd recommend posting the thumbnail version so the thread doesn't take too long to load, but other than that you can post it.

Which forum the topic would go in depends on what you're focussing on - general "here's my army, background and recent games/campaigns" is more a "main games" thing, where as "look at my cool models" is the "painting" forum.

I've just checked the article I linked to and the category links weren't working, but the "next page" link did and the images all appear for me. Some of them are a bit old now (I've got three Kans, three kannons and a Dreadie now, plus the newer Grots) but that's the basis of my army.

Nicely painted ( I never saw grots with bows till now :D)

I'll get some pics up once my army has been painted (almost done)

That was just my "lets be different and lets not pay for metal figures" method of making Grots with Grot Blastas - give some of them bows with stikkbomb arrows in amongst the variety of other mismatched weaponry :)

I just got settled from my move from California to Texas. So here's a belated welcome!

By the way, Orks are the main enemy of the Biel Tan :)

California to Texas? Sounds like the wrong way around. If I was in the US I'd probably want to do it the other way around :D

Now now, there'll be no fighting on the forums ;)

California is rediculously expensive to live, and I got a job in Texas with much much much cheaper stuff and expenses. And if you like the desert and heat, than their is nothing wrong with Texas at all.

Didn't one of the old 2nd Edition Guardian models have a cowboy hat? Or maybe that is my imagination and he just had the trench-coat but no hat :D

It wasn't even a trench coat, more like a jacket with a high collar. The rangers though, do have nice trench coats. I should find a small plastic cowboy hat for one....

And speaking of Ork Eldar slang, don't Ork also, have pointed ears?

I think there were two - one of the Guardians had quite a short coat with a high collar (possibly with a helmet-less head) and I think another had a longer coat and a helmet (possibly either a Grav Platform Guardian or a Ranger)

I have seen one, with a helmet on and face exposed, but short coat.
