what mods do you download?

well, this is just a small "questionnaire" talking about, well, what you use on dawn of war and affiliated games. i download my mods from legit. sites like hwt or dow files( if ive checked beforehand). i also download b&b packs from hanger-8 to compliment my own. its pretty fun playing on cool new maps and so on. one thing i do not download are new race mods. there to large for my tastes, plus there way overballanced.

i would probably use a personal mod but i cant mod a.k.a i stink at it.

The only mod I tend to use is UberPainter, and that's because I'm testing out Dawn of War skins I've never actually played much of the main game, so I don't see much point in trying out mods yet.

In terms of badges and banners I've got my own installed (testing them when I make them) plus a few others that I've tested and never removed.

Textures tend to vary. I'll generally not use any textures (I'm normally playing campaign games, so they don't change anything anyway) but if I do then it's whatever I last installed to check the content of and didn't remember to delete There can be some things I keep, like I'd keep Hangar-8's Golden Eagles, but sometimes they get replaced because of someone else's work that needs checking so it's never a permanent fixture.

i like hanger-8's golden eagles as well. i have just about all of hanger-8's badges/banners, including some of the ones from the player design area. my favorite 'funny' one is a banner from the player design area, called the emperor's pointy sticks. its very amusing crushing my enemies with a banner reading 'poke 'em in the eye'.

Emperor's Pointy Sticks are from the Turn Signals on a Land Raider comic. On the whole I tend not to bother with too many community badges/banners (especially the DoWFiles ones) as there's far too many "lets stick a real-world brand in an image and call it a badge" sets. There are a few people who started in Hangar-8's community sets and brought out some great ones, though.

i also usually like to stay within the warhammer 40k boundaries, but sometimes i can't help myself. i've got a ton of ultramarine/blood angels b&b packs from hanger-8 and hwt(my favorite armies from my favorite places).
