RE: Warhammer Quest

Postby IBBoard at 15 Jun 2001, 22:18

I haven't played it for a while, but I think it was a great game.
Does anyone else play it?
It's one of the games that got sidelined by Games Workshop, but never should have been. It was so much easier to play than the main games, and the adventures were nice and quick with plenty of atmosphere.
I know Games Workshop are continuing to support it through Fanatic Games, but why couldn't it be a main game again?

You should see the amount of stuff that my Grandma picks up cheaply at carboot sales and charity shops.
So far I have 4 old GW games (the stand alone ones from the late 70s/early 80s) as well as atleast 40 out of 55 Fighting Fantasy books by the creators of GW (Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson). It's amazing how some people always find a great bargain :)

I wanna know 2 things:
1) WHY do people want to sell their stuff of?
2) WHY do they sell it off so cheaply?

I still have WQ but i've not played in a while :(
Bit of a shame coz my Witch-Hunter rocked
and the answer to ur questions are:
1) People sell thier stuff off cos they dont like the thought that they may be Kleptomaniacs so get rid of it as soon as possible
2) If you sell it off cheaply you fell good coz u fell like u've pracitcally given it away but u still make money

WTF is a Klepto-whos-it? Is it a person who loves collecting and hoarding?
And as for (2), it's mad, you should make money at any possible opourtinity.
(####, I hate it when my Ferengi side pops up :D)

mainly because its not generally theirs, inherited or bought for a younger person who doesn't like it, most of the time they do not realise the money these things cost. one person i know got his army for £5 in an auction

Got to get round to playing it again.
Hmmm, wonder whether they will play it in GW Manchester on a Tuesday? :D I'll hopefully be going there every week soon :) I'm in Manchester until 5pm with Uni, so I don't see why not :) Nice relaxing end to the day :)
