Opinions needed for Encyclopedia!

Okay people, I need some input regarding values for a new feature in the Encyclopedia.

The next update of the Encyclopedia of Games Workshop will include controlled referencing to books, so that you select your chosen source from a list. As it is, the list is currently 180 items long, and that doesn't include all of the stories within anothologies and the items with groups (like the individual armies books within the main "armies book" source).

The question is, how do you think I should make it handle White Dwarf references? Should people reference specific issues (which could make it a rather large list, but would let people look up the original for themselves exactly) or should it be a single "White Dwarf" entry with no issue number?

I'm leaning towards the first at the moment, although it would require a much more complex submission system (something that doesn't use a selection box!) but other opinions are valued

I agree. Although it's longer and more complex, it's a better referencing system, and you just know you'll only wind up going back and doing it that way at a later date.....

Yeah, good point, sods law means I'll only end up wanting the complex way once I start with the simple way and lose some of the data!

As for the selection system, thanks to the way I had it coded anyway, it's been an easy transition to do it in a way other than a selection box. Now, you'll have over 180 check boxes instead!
