Warriors Of The Imperium At Warpartefacts

Bracknell has an Ottakers book shop that sells GW stuff (quite a bit - most of the boxed sets from what I can see, some blister packs and lots of novels and rule books/codexes) plus the Warriors of the Imperium models from Warp Artefacts. Now if you look at Hervictus on that page, he doesn't look all that greatly painted, and having seen them in real life, I'm not even sure they're as well painted as that. They look really cheap and nasty, and at £25 they're a real rip-off - my Gollum/Smeagol that came in the LotR:TT boxed set was painted amazingly well, these have been slapped with a Tank brush and a single blotchy highlight!

you could always redo them yourself.. i painted up the inquistor marine (his name escapes me) as my own chapter as opposed to deathwatch.. looks cool

could do I suppose, but seems like a bit of a waste. The models themselves didn't look like amazing detail from what I remember (Forgeworld would be much better quality) but they might look good if repainted.

They're probably meant to appeal to people who like Forgeworld busts, but don't quite have that much money to spare
