Dah. The Kroot.

In summary- The kroot are a bipedal race, who have a measure of control over their genetic code. By eating different chemicals, they can produce strange new forms of Kroot.

Case to point=Krootox, Kroot hounds.

They can also do other things as well, including the Ork/Kroot cross in Chapter Approved.

More soon.

I truly think that the kroot can produce new ones. Like lets say that they got to an Ork. They probibly would produce a Krootox. :)

not a clue - we'd need someone with better knowledge of the Tau. I wouldn't think of them as classical evolutionary deadends though - they're still a valuable evolution.

Most likely the Codex then, because I've read every WD that the Tau have been in (and then some! I've read nearly 60% of the existing issues, and been subscribed for the last 40% of them!). I'm not saying I remember it all ( ) but I don't remember anything like that being mentioned

I thi nk I understand what they mean almost like the Nids in how they evolve when the kill and devour their enemies, since the Kroot have a nasty habbit of eatting brains..blah

No, they don't quite fit in the clean lines of the Tau, but from their "for the greater good" alliance/federation side then it works a little including them to counteract the Tau's normal weakness in combat
