im making a new special character but i need to see if the stats are reasonable and the cost is right
Name - Twins of the water
Cost - ???
WS - 5 - BS - 5 - S - 5 - T - 4 - W - 4 - A - 4 - I - 6 - LD - 10 - S - 3
Special Rules
Indefinite luck - 3+ Invulnerable Save

War Gear
Chain sword and Combat shield
Chain sword and power weapon

What cost would be appropriate

Points values are really tough. GW spend ages playing things off against each other in play testing to make sure that the balance is right. I'd say that you have to go reasonably high for the potential 6 wounds, even if there is a chance that you end up with 1 wound. The 3+ invulnerable should also be quite expensive, especially when combined with the potential wound count.

Who do you see your character going toe-to-toe with? While you can make an amazing stat line, you've got to be careful that you're not over-doing it or it'll make your games boring/misbalanced :)

what if i used Vulcan He'stan's Point value of 190 because of the 3+ invulnerable and add 60 points for the wounds so thats 250pts

It might work if the rest of the stat lines are similar, but you'd still need to lots of testing to make sure that the wounds didn't unbalance things by more than 60pts worth. 6 wounds can make something really tough, but the balance is in not making it too expensive for the times it gets 1 wound.

What if the cost is 190+30 for the 1st and 2nd wound but an extra 50pts per wound from there
so a min of 220 and a max of 450

I'm not sure that wounds would be a linear cost between having three and having six, plus it means you either roll for the wounds when you create the army (liable to cheating and probably as useful just to make each wound an "equipment" item) or you have an army that you've suddenly got to start pruning or expanding at the battle.

GW probably have some approximations of costs somewhere, and I think I once saw someone try to reverse engineer the points per stat from various units, but even that won't be perfect and needs play-testing.

Ok i got some feedback from some local players and they said 4 wound between the two models (character consists of 2 men)
