Is it just me or have games workshop destroyed the character of the orginal legions by focusing on renegade space marine chapters like the red corsairs..

I've not seen much on the new Chaos, but TBH I think the Renegades have probably been under-represented before.

There should still be a way to do Legion armies, but there's nothing wrong with giving people more flexibility to have a more recent Renegade army. After all, if you've got a Horus Heresy army then they're only going to have certain technology that was available at the end. If you want a more modern Chaos army with newer tech then you'd have to go for renegades.

yeah i can see where you coming from since looking through the codex ive seen that its still possible to create a characterful legion army
