Scouting for the lost seed & ranks

Postby Reconassasin at 01 Jul 2007, 20:13

:ninja: It seems that in the early 90's a 40k female marine chapter was published, about the mysterious so called "SISTERHOOD", now forgotten and misunderstood by the fabled codex. Is there amoung you a historian that has the gift of knowledge :?:

 Since I am on the matter of old mystery to the modern gamer  Does anyone have or, know the sybolism of ranks that were once placed on the shoulders of the Legiones Astartes :?:

 Any replies are welcomed to this lost knowledge for the gifted in mind :?:

Moved to "Main Games".

The Sisterhood sounds like an early incarnation of the Sisters of Battle.

I'd be surprised if GW ever mentioned them as an actual chapter, since all of the fluff I know of states that there's something in the process/organs that is only compatible with male physiology. Having said that, I think some female chapters have done well in chapter creation competitions, so maybe they're not too strict on it in all ways.

As for the ranks, do you mean the general chevrons they applied? I don't have the actual rank scheme with me, but they normally included Sergeant etc, but also had ranks for things like "gunner" for the heavy weapon specialist in the squad.
