New Hwt Skin

Well Bap has complained about the skin at http://hiveworldterra.ibboard.co.uk and it isn't inkeeping with the whole Hive World Terra theme, so I'm working on a new one

Yeah, but its not in keeping with the general "Hive World Terra" image, so I'm going for something else for the Website at the moment

No, it looks like a dirty industrial theme - its just that Robot Wars is also dirty/industrial. Does Necromunda look like Robot Wars?
Its still got lots of work yet, I'll try to improve it so we don't get random strangers thinking its Robot Wars

But if you can come up with a better idea then feel free to do it

OK, a bit more work has been done - it now has side boxes! Oh, and its been reshaped slightly - its now a full width site
Next up - a logo and title bar. Could be a bit more difficult for ideas :\

OK, got the header done and finally got round to screen-shotting it - http://hiveworldterra.ibboard.co.uk/HWTscreenie.jpg . Also, it now has a "Hive Message" box along with a "Thought of the Moment"
I'm going to try for a better logo - at the moment the destroyed lettering doesn't look too great.

But seriously, what colour is it going to be other than black and yellow? All hazard stripes are black and yellow. They used to paint powerfists and chainswords black and yellow stripes. Definately just a generic thing that Robot Wars hijacked as well - its just you, you're obsessed

Purple and lilac? Why not a dark purple and black though?

cos then it just looks daft and doesn't look anything like an industrial hive!
That plus finding a good purple is really difficult - they either tend to be too pinky or an odd off-blue colour.
Anyway, the final results are going up now

All done, all up and I think its all fixed and working a few things (such as the encyclopedia search form) are a little rough around the edges and could be fancy-ificated, but that can wait.

I was pondering a green holographic grid style skin

is it possible to do roll-over animated gifs?

yeah - should be very easy. Depends where you want to use it though, it might not animate on a table background, but a normal rollover is fine.
If you want to do a skin, I can see about emailing you all the formatting functions the site uses. I'd have to find a friendly way of exporting them though :\
