Unofficial character models from an ex-GW sculptor

Postby IBBoard at 07 Jan 2007, 12:03

The following is courtesy of TGSC :)

A guy called Felix Paniagua worked at GW as a sculptor for a while (his models include the new bald Space Marine Veteran Sergeant, the Dwarf Lords and the new Imperial soldiers).

Felix now works in Spain for Privateer Press (creators of Warmachine) but does some sculpting in his own time. He's got some Avatars of War available, which are 28mm heroes (currently an Orc Shaman and a Dwarf Hero). They're quite obviously aimed at GW collectors, although he's careful to just brand them as 28mm models :)

The miniatures look great, and at 9.50 Euros (about £6.40 at the moment) they're cheaper than the slightly less impressive standard Dwarf Lords!

Now why does that last point not suprise me? :D

If only I had a reason to buy one, and managed to paint more...
